Can anyone create an account with Bit Trade?

To create an account with Bit Trade, you will need to meet the following criteria:

What information do you need to verify my account?

To verify your account, we will need your basic information (name, address, etc.) and an identity document, such as a drivers’ licence or passport.

If we cannot verify your identity, our team will request a secondary document, such as a utility bill.

Why do I need to verify my identity?

Identity verification protects our customers from potential fraud, and helps us fulfil our KYC, AML and CTF requirements. You can learn more about verification here.

Why do you need my bank account details?

The first time you use a bank account with us, we are required to confirm your ownership of that account. We will need a copy of a recent bank statement to help us complete this confirmation process.

Why hasn’t my account been verified yet?

Verification can take up to 48 hours.

If you haven’t heard from us within 48 hours, please check your email or your account dashboard. We may have requested a secondary document.

Orders

How long does it take to process an order?

We aim to process orders as fast as possible - as soon as funds are confirmed as received in our bank account we send the digital currency to your specified wallet. Note that in some circumstances delays in receiving funds from your bank account will delay the digital currency being sent to your wallet.

Do you process orders 24 hours a day, seven days a week?

We process orders seven days a week between 7 am and 12 am midnight. Orders submitted after 12 am will be processed the following morning at 7 am.

I am having trouble receiving SMS verification codes. What should I do?

If you are not receiving SMS verification codes, try the following:

How much bitcoin can I buy?

We have a minimum order size of $100AUD, and a daily maximum order size of $20,000AUD. If you are interested in buying more than $20,000AUD, please contact our trading desk at [email protected].

Can I cancel an order once it has been placed?

Usually, it is not possible to cancel or reverse an order after it has been placed, and the payment has been received. Please take extra care when placing orders.

Why does my wallet display a different currency amount from my order?

The value of bitcoin is always fluctuating. The value of your order is subject to these fluctuations. We always transfer the amount of bitcoin calculated at the time of purchase.

Also, please make sure your wallet balance is set to Australian Dollars (AUD). Many wallet service providers default to United States Dollars (USD).
